Protesters Chase Junk Scientist Al Gore Down the Street After Book Signing

Protesters in Chicago crashed Al Gore’s book signing this week.

Al Gore signs a copy of his new book at the Borders book store in the Loop on Tuesday. Hundreds of fans showed up but protesters took advantage of the event to tell the former vice president that his science was “bunk.”
Justin Mangano, from Australia, was beaming after Al Gore signed his book Tuesday when his star-struck moment was interrupted by a protester being hauled out of the Borders bookstore in the Chicago Loop.
Gore was at the book store promoting the just released “Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis.” Fans were there to get his autograph and opponents came to challenge his message. Members of the group, We Are Change, were the most outspoken of Gore’s naysayers at the former vice president’s appearance at 150 N. State St. Gore’s security guards escorted the protesters from the store.
…“We need to wake up to this now, or it’s going to be too late. They want to tax the air we breathe and the meat we eat,” said activist Saad Ali, one of about 30 protesters at the event. ‘There are 30,000 scientists trying to sue this bum,” he screamed as he was escorted from the building.

We’re running a story over at Libertarian Republican about one of the emailers theatening to “beat the crap” out of a libertarian skeptic from the Cato Institute.
The Cato scholar dared to inquire about some of the false data coming from Michael Mann.
This Climategate story is huge. It’s been rather amusing to see the liberal media dodge and duck it in the last few days. But that won’t last for long.

Their religion is being questioned – no wonder they’re angry! Did anyone see Ed Begley on Cavuto last week? He was wild-eyed and practically foaming at the mouth, screaming “peer review” and “what degree do you have?” When the basis of your reason for being is threatened, you tend to get very reactive. NBC’s Norah O’Donnell should’ve been removed as a protestor from Sarah Palin’s book signing in Indiana.
She basically did the exact same thing to 17 year old Jackie,as these guys did.
She challenged her with factoids from the 2008 presidential campaign and reading from her crib notes.
So she should’ve been removed from the area as well.
She was there as a protestor…not a reporter.

The story was that Climategate is coming around to bite algore in the ass.
It wasn’t about the philosophy of the particular group ridiculing algore.
Or do you advocate ignoring/suppressing news of dissent by groups of whom you disapprove?
