Montel Williams Afraid US May Open Muslim Internment Camps (Audio-Video)

Montel Williams is the latest crazy liberal to worry that America may overreact to the slaughter at Fort Hood. He wondered out loud if the government (with the democrats in charge?) will throw Muslims into internment camps because to the Fort Hood massacre.

WILLIAMS (45:48): We pulled something like this back in World War II when we decided to round up all Japanese Americans and put them in internment camps…The [anti-Muslim] rhetoric… could get out of hand. What do you think?
FRANK FARLEY (Temple University): I agree totally… The possibilities of prejudice and racism and so on are incredible here. We should be treating this as a unique incident and look at the factors involved in this very unique and specific incident and not overgeneralize. Unfortunately, we tend to overgeneralize all the time. The idea that all Muslims are the same is ridiculous…
WILLIAMS: Even if it comes out… that his frame of reference was his religion and that was what was giving him the power within himself to make his stand, that doesn’t mean that the religion is to blame.
FARLEY: Absolutely, his interpretation [of Islam] may vary dramatically from [that of] his fellow Muslims.

If I remember my history, it was one Earl Warren who developed this policy (you know that Warren of the Supreme Court) in a time of panic after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Those Japanese Americans affected lived on the west coast, but strange as it may seem, not those living in Hawaii. Of course, no mention is made of the Japanese Americans living on the East or Gulf Coasts not to mention those living in the mid-west. Why? Because these people weren’t sent to internment camps.
The internment of Japanese Americans after Pearl Harbor, in hindsight, was a dumb move on our part. Too bad the liberals like Montel Williams have yet to figure out that basic fact of life! We all know he can’t do that until he gets his facts straight, but, folks, don’t hold your breath on that one.

Jim, it was a Democratic president and congress that did the WWII internments. In fact, FDR was Wilson’s Asst Sec Nav in 1916 and chaired the group that wrote war plan ORANGE, the plan if US was attacked by Japan and which prioritized the internment FDR later implemented. I believe ObiWon and Jackboot Janet would prefer to inter all of us in the new gulag, but remind our leftee friends that it was their party that supported slavery, segregation and internment.

Also comparing it with the Japanese Americans is humbug. The Japanese Americans fought bravely in the war in Europe. The Nisei were feared among the Germans. There was one battle where the (Korean American, could have been Chinese American, not sure, would have to look it up) officer of such a unit was shot, and the Nisei banzai-charged the German position. The Germans were steamrolled, their resistance obliterated completely. They simply didn’t know what hit them.
You don’t hear such things from the mohammedans.
Oh wait, that was in the days when the US of A wasn’t castrated by political correctness and the socialists. That was when the US of A actually fought to WIN.
