Mainstream Media Ignores Greatest Scandal In Modern Science

James Delingpole at The Telegraph reported today on the mainstream media’s lame coverage on the greatest scandal in modern science.
Stolen(?) classified emails and files were released yesterday that proved that the junk scientists behind the global warming movement knowingly perpetrated a fraud on the global community.
The Climategate scandal (and I do apologise for calling it that, but that’s how the internet works: you need obvious, instantly memorable, event-specific search terms) continues to set the Blogosphere ablaze.

Like the Telegraph’s MPs’ expenses scandal, this is the gift that goes on giving. It won’t, unfortunately, derail Copenhagen (too many vested interests involved) or cause any of our many political parties to start talking sense on “Climate change”. But what it does demonstrate is the growing level of public scepticism towards Al Gore’s Anthropogenic Global Warming theory. That’s why, for example, this story is the single most read item on today’s Telegraph website.
What it also demonstrates – as my dear chum Dan Hannan so frequently and rightly argues – is the growing power of the Blogosphere and the decreasing relevance of the Mainstream Media (MSM).
This is not altogether the MSM’s fault. Partly it is just the way of things that more and more readers prefer their news and opinion served up in snappier, less reverent, more digestible and instant for.
But in the case of “Climate Change”, the MSM has been caught with its trousers down.

I see the exact opposite: more and more readers prefer their news and opinion served up in longer, more extensive, well written articles that allow deeper analysis and require more demanding consideration. The internet format has no limit for column inches, and allows further resources to be readily linked. This allows for full development and appreciation in explanation and argument.

I wish everyone would get it through their heads that the MSM is nothing more then the Corruptocrat propaganda wing.
For example, would you have expected Josef Goebbles and the Volkischer Beobacter to report on the “final solution” and the existence of Auschwitz? Would you have expected them to publish the minutes of the Wannsee Conference if they had gotten ahold of a copy of them? No. Why? Because the German media was the propaganda wing of the Nazi party.
It is the same thing today with the MSM. It is a party run entity staffed by the most faithful of party members. They only exist to push the agenda of the Corruptocrat party.

Did any of these folks (in the e-mails) ever give testimony before Congress or any court under oath ?
If so, they should go to jail.

NYT is, of course, explaining it away with Mann’s help.
If you click on the “Post a comment…” link from the NYT page, you can read the comments of the sheeples who, as expected, are losing no faith in their AGW religion. They’re defending Mann and his cronies, calling skeptics “idiots,” and condemning those who hacked the site as well as those who are sharing and blogging about the docs.

Please stop calling them the mainstream media. Their right name should be the ministry of progressive propaganda. They stopped being mainstream years ago and now only represent the views of the urban elites who have no idea whats going on. The medias viewership has been steadily declining and when they are finally gone, i will breathe a sigh of relief.

Except for the conspiracy aspects of the contents of FOIA2009.zip, exactly why was all this stuff secret in the first place ?
Likewise, if the part of the theory that says this was put together as part of the review to Steve McIntyre’s FOIA request, exactly what contained with FOIA2009.zip, aside from the embarrassing conspiracy perpetrated by CRU employees, were the CRU officials trying to protect by denying the request.
Finally, the legal department of CRU found nothing strange reading this material that obviously reveals many unethical, if not illegal, acts by CRU employees ?
Frankly, the best course for the CRU and the University of East Anglia is to announce that a ongoing probe had been started on Nov. 12, 2009 into the actions of various employees of the CRU, from material that came to light because of a FOIA request.
