Hundreds of protesters greeted junk scientist Al Gore at his global warming speech in Florida on Saturday.

Florida WPTV reported:

Hundreds of people sat inside the Mizner Amphitheater, paying close attention to the presentation, but outside, it was a different story.

A large group of protesters gathered just steps away from where former Vice President Al Gore was speaking.

“If you follow the money, it tells you all you need to know about Al Gore he is making millions off all this energy stuff he is selling,” said Meg Shannon, with the South Florida Tea Party.

Many of the protesters were with the groups Collegians for a Constructive Tomorrow and South Florida Tea Party.

  1. They should have been chanting”Liar, liar, ass on fire”!

  2. Good to see more people are realizing this is a scam.

  3. Gore is still on the campaign trail for his latest CAPITALISTIC adventure of a new book and his new found COMMUNISTIC adventure to fleece the world of billions flowing directly into his bank accounts. Thank God, the Lord Almighty, the election was “stolen” from him.

I wonder how many of those “green” fools will think so highly of Gorical when they are penniless and cold next winter.

  4. DC Works For Us – I’m a member of the group – was also there as one of the tips of the spear and coordinated with So. Fl. Tea Party and the local authorities to make sure all went smoothly (parking, routing, etc…. Everybody involved wishes to give big-time thanks to the local Boca and County LEO’s – great people, all.

Unfortunately I couldn’t make the festivities yesterday – had a bit of shootin’ to do (a competition planned well in advance of Algore’s brainwashing….. er, I mean event).

Earlier in the day, there was also an anti-illegal immigration rally in Ft. Lauderdale (at one of the busiest intersections in the state) where many of the same people attended – all in all a full patriotic afternoon and evening.

  6. Those Floridians are VERY lucky they didn’t have a freak snowstorm yesterday along with the visit from the Goracle!

  7. Al Gore is a scam. He represents companies that are not even making jobs in America.

  8. I suppose he travelled to the event from his 21,000 square foot house by private jet and a caravan of limos and SUVs. He is nothing more than a modern version of Jim and Tammy Faye Baker, getting rich by manipulating the weak minded. He better hurry because as CO2 levels continue to rise and temperatures continue to fall, the gravy train for Gore won’t continue much longer.

  9. He will be in the People’s Republic of Portland, Oregon on Wednesday the 18th, and Americans For Prosperity has organized a Hot Air Tour stop to demonstrate across the street from his speaking engagement. We anticipate hundreds of attendees as well, and Tim Phillips, national director of AFP, will be speaking.

  11. That is a horrible way to treat an Emmy, Grammy and Nobel Piece Prize winner.

Don’t they know that Al just cares so much.

  12. Does anyone still believe in global warming anymore? Its been established for awhile now that the facts are to the contrary, the earth is cooling, not warming. Also, all the facts that the global warming people based their theory on were fraudulant and completely fudged. Whats also ironic is that the CO2 levels were much higher when clinton/gore were in the White House, than when Bush/Cheney were in the White House.

  13. You know that movie “Zero Impact” about the family that lived an ascetic miserable life in penitent prostration before the Environment?

How about a movie called “Gore Impact,” in which an individual works like mad to equal the carbon output that Gore makes… for every flight on a private jet, the hero of the film burns stacks of charcoal. Show Gore’s huge house, his vehicles, his trip log, his many other high CO2 output actions….

Show him pouring oil into the river, leaving an SUV idling in the driveway while he reads a paper in an easy chair, chopping down trees, scorching foliage… all in the name of reproducing the Gore Impact.

“Shoot, there’s no way I can keep up! If I burned every brick of charcoal in every store in the whole city, I can’t equal this guy’s carbon footprint! How do I achieve Gore Impact? HOW?”

    Could be a funny satire.

  14. great job. we need a full court press on left wing stupidity.

it was a good job by the local tv station too.

  15. A brief glance at the WP page for “Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow” (parent of the student group) will show that they receive or have received funding from a spectrum of energy companies.

They also (somewhat correctly) point out that that would be an ad hom. However, it should be disclosed when discussing them, but neither this site nor Instapundit did so (that’s, of course, similar to how the MSM does things).

Also, this is yet another example of low-wattage protests; the smarter thing they could have done would be to try to ask Gore something designed to show how he’s wrong. However, actually engaging people in debate – rather than waving loopy signs – is too difficult for those like Instapundit.

  16. 24AheadDotCom
In case you haven’t noticed, Al Gore refuses to debate anyone. And if funding effects outcome, remember, the federal government spend far more on these studies than all energy companies combined.

  17. How do you engage a person in debate when they say that the time for debate is over? Gore has refused to debate with Lord Moncton, Vaclav Klaus and many others. And you are critical of protestors for not engaging Al Gore in debate? Al Gore will give a speech or a power-point presentation at the drop of a hat (and $`100,000 honorarium) but it is always one-sided. No debate. And again, I ask: you blame the sceptics?

  18. To 24AheadDotCom

The Goracle will not do Q&A’s with the general public for obvious reasons. He has been shown to be a complete buffoon when he gets off script.

Please remove your lips from the backside of the leftist media outlets. It’s hard to understand comments like ‘wavimpph loopy sigmmph’.

  19. Everybody was young and dumb at one time. Ever notice how many of the Goracolytes are young? Just sayin’.

  20. It doesn’t matter what “we” do or don’t do
The Chinese and Indians have NO intention of curbing CO2.
    We need Nuclear power. Now.
What else would power electric plug in cars??
Windmills and Solar? not even close..
    Coal? Too dirty..
Oil?? Controlled by the thugs in the Mideast,Russia and Venezuela…
We need Nuclear power fellow Americans..
    To Power Government Motors Cobalts..
That is the answer for clean, green, renewable, cheap (once built) power.
THAT will reduce carbon, and our dependency on our enemies (and supposed friends) in the Mideast and we can get out once and for all..

  21. What goes around, comes around – - -
Looks like it’s his turn in the barrel. It’s about GD time!

  22. Al Gore is the Saquatch of carbon footprinters.

  23. I used to be a believer in GW. Then I became a total skeptic since my Ph.D. in chemistry drilled a very hard science ethic into me and climatology turned out to be speculation rather than science. Now that I’ve seen the bickering side to the skeptics that makes them just as selective with facts as the other side I have had to stand back and simply WAIT for the next few years of temperature data to trickle in. The one thing I do know is that GW is not evident in the temperature record so far if by temperature record you mean actual data instead of the output of models and tortured statistical software packages. It’s not that I’m not really convinced that GW is bunk but I don’t think hard core laypeople who think GW theory is the ultimate form of adherence to Environmentalism will be convinced until actual temperatures fail to skyrocket from their current upward variation. The source of my belief in natural variation? The best thermometer record of all that goes back almost 400 years:

    http://i35.tinypic.com/2db1d89.jpg

If Central England seems too arbitrary then have a look at the very latest data from the entire USA, being the October temperatures for a century:

    http://tinyurl.com/ygxf327

Now these are not the global average, granted, but if the global average really is skyrocketing then why on Earth doesn’t it show up in entire continents in October or in very long records from in locations that are quite expected to be influenced by something called “global warming”?

  24. GOOD ON YOU PEOPLE ,THE SCIENCE NOW PROVES HE IS LYING ,THATS WHY THEY LFT OUT THE LITTLE ICE AGE ON PURPOSE ,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stij8sUybx0 WATCH IT AND WEEP SCAMSTERS.

  25. Zach Foreman:

    1. I don’t think those protesting are “sceptics”; I’m going to guess that most or at least many already have their minds made up.

    2. If Gore won’t debate, that doesn’t really excuse your (speaking generally) inability to come up with Plan B. In this case, Plan B would consist of using your minds to go after his “downstream”. Gore can’t get anywhere without supporters, so you engage them in debate, starting as high as possible and working down the tree until you find someone who’s approachable.

    3. In April 2008, I made this satire video so it’s not exactly like I’m a big AlGore fan, even if some of those who are in the target market for posts like this might think that. Not being a useful idiot for either of the two main sides is generally a good idea.

  26. @ 24AheadDotCom

I’m over here from the Reason site. So… shut the #&@% up, Lonewacko.

  27. If Gore won`t debate, we would we have to come up with “plan B”? It just shows he`s an idiot and can`t debate with facts.

  28. (1) the sun is much much bigger than the earth.
    Because of that
    (2) a very small change in the sun will have much more effect on our climate than a large change in the earth.

  29. We know Gobble Worming to be true because shut up…

  30. Al Gore did get one thing right. He scheduled the venue for Florida, where the chance that he`d encounter record snowfall or severe freezing conditions was extremely small. When he scheduled in the northern climes, Mother Nature kicked his ass nearly every single time.

  32. Al Gore and Goldman Sachs own part of the Climate Exchange. Richard Sandor worked for Drexall Burnham (Junk Bond Kings), is Father of Derivatives and Futures and is Chairman of the Climate Exchange, which is incorporated in the Isle of Man.
Gore first invests in companies, then markets them for Kleiner Perkins, Capricorn & Generation Investment Management VC & Inv. Funds.
Gore is invested in Fisker & V-Vehicle (T Boone Pickens), Silver Networks, Abengoa (cellulosic biofuels aka sugar cane), SMA Solar Tech, eeStor, Applied Process Technologies (H2O) for starters.

Al Gore’s investments has received our tax dollars via stimulus funds.

Gore is marketeer extraordinaire. H20 is the next calamity…but like all good Alinsky followers, using Rule 12, he will have the solution which will enrich him and his financial friends.
