  1. Mike neither are you

  2. The “hucker” tried and was found lacking in the last election.

Step aside mike. Your time has come and gone.

  3. Never saw the appeal with Huckabee. I can’t even stand to watch his show.

  4. Holy cow I voted for this guy for the GOP nomination. I’m so glad that he didn’t win. I would guess that he is entrenched in the GOP and Sarah is rocking the boat.

This may seem counter-intuitive but I’m thankful that Doofus Barry was elected so conservatives can beat back these frickin’ liberals 50 years in the next election.

  6. Try reading her book, Mike. She currently belongs to the GOP but thinks, walks, and talks like a Libertarian/Conservative.

I personally think the woman is ordained.

  7. Leaders have influence and vision. Maybe I’m missing it but it seems to me Sarah Palin has these qualities. I totally agree with Highlander.
I can’t watch his wishy washy show either.

  8. I am not a Romney supporter (he was governor of my state…..figured he had to be mental to do that…..however, he is a kind, good family man and I admire that and his business acumen)but when huckabee attacked Romney during last year’s primary run, I felt unclean….there is something intrinsically slimy about huckabee.

  9. After the ‘profit and earning’ as to price to earnings, and this somewhat related to overhead, “the bomb that fell on Pearl Harbor”
(you’d think Obama would know that one) the
doctors who pull out tonsils and hack feet, he’s being way too charitable toward. . .Obama. Then again, Katie’s no rocket scientists either.

  10. Living in the state of Arkansas I am only to familiar with Huckabee……
and believe me, HE WILL NEVER EVER GET
    ANOTHER VOTE FROM ME.
Yes, I did vote for him….but lately, listening to him, I feel like I have been used.
He is Socialist-Lite….not a heavy version like BO……just a lightweight socialist
    Good-bye Mike

  11. Mike Huckabee is Socialist-Lite….not a heavyweight like BHO…but a socialist nonetheless

  12. The problem I see with Huckabee is a righteous veneer over a core of ambition bordering on larceny.

  13. I’d love to see a side by side comparison of Palin’s accomplishments as governor to Huckabee’s.

  14. Well, clearly Sarah Palin is not as smart or capable as Mike..(COUGH, Cough, cough,…..cough, etc.)

  15. Defending Obama will not endear him to conservatives. McCain doing so is why so many of us had to hold our nose while voting for anyone but Obama.

  16. Huckster has to be bitter. At least against Romney he’d be in the charisma ballgame.

I’ve watched his show a few minutes a number of times. On economics he’s an utter cipher.

Now it”ll be like bringing a hat pin to a gun fight.

Intellectual capacity is a quality one must first possess inorder to recognize its presence in another.

  17. huckabee is just another of many charlatan “conservatives” being schmoozed by the liberal media.

They’ll use him and spit him out, just like they did McCain.

  18. Not sure what you heard. The heading “Huckabee on Palin: She’s Not “Completely Lacking” of Any Intellectual Capacity” is in reference to the media’s assessment of her. I don’t even know where he defends Obama other than he said he didn’t have the background to be President because he had no executive experience, which is a small part of why he was unqualified.

That being said I find Huckabee to be a good guy but uninspiring and not charismatic and I think charisma and inspiration are essential to lead a nation.

God knows Ronald Reagan had both and then some!

  19. Never could stand the guy and hate his show.

  20. I find Huck to be quite the slime, but when I watched this I did not see it as such a hit.

Cerebral Titan Katie Couric quoted some polls, one from CNN, stating that 70-some percent of people think she’s unqualified to be president, and he said, “Well, I disagree with that.” Then he went on to say that he didn’t know a lot about her job as Governor because he was leaving office just as she was coming in, so he had not had a lot of contact with her at the National Governors Conference blah blah, “But I think she is not anywhere near the person she’s been portrayed to be as ‘completely lacking of any intellectual capacity’”.

My take was that he was reinforcing his disagreement with Couric’s assertion. YMMV.

  21. Huckabee needs to be stopped now before he ruins the selection of the 2012 GOP nominee much like he did in 2008. We don’t need a big government social conservative (i.e., someone promoting so-called “compassionate conservatism,” which is just another term for “big government Republicanism”) like Huckabee as the representative of the GOP and/or conservative movement, as it hurts the ability of the GOP/conservatives to differentiate itself from the ridiculous spending habits of the Democrats. Plus, although I completely understand the competition that exists among prominent Republicans, but Huckabee comes across more like someone out for himself than out for advancing the cause of conservatism. He is driven more by depicting himself personally in a favorable light than by furthering the interests of all conservatives.

Personally, I think Huckabee is a Class-A jerk, I don’t trust him, and I never understood his appeal. But with the GOP in 2012 short on dynamic candidates with unquestioned experience, accomplishments, and conservative credentials competing for the nomination, he was able to find a niche that appealed to enough voters to basically help McCain win the nomination. I fear Huckabee will do the same thing again in 2012.

  22. If Huckabee was serious about anything besides his ego’s growing addictive need to have a camera pointed at him right now, he’d have nothing to do with the oily political hack Couric. He’s playing useful GOP idiot for the Left.

  23. There goes your chances at being Vice President Huck. Sarah Palin/Michele Bachmann 2012!

  24. Yo Huck, don’t think we’ve forgotten how McCain threw his W. VA electoral votes to your losing campaign to oust Romney

McCain fought Romney harder than he fought Obama!

Huck, go back to eating squirrel in Arkansas

  25. I didn’t get a telemarketing call from Sarah Palin about her book….I did get an automated call from Mike Huckabee about his. I bought Sarah’s, will not buy his.

I want to like the guy…but’s getting too Hollywood and is starting to smell like a RINO.

  26. Physician to Mike Huckabee: “now turn your head and cough………..hhhmmmmmmmmmmm…..

    “That’s what I thought……….”

  27. He’s another McCain. The media loves him and that tells you all you need to know. He’s the harmless one they can destroy later.
He’s made a number of passive aggressive comments in Palins direction:”Well,(chuckle) I’m not as pretty as her,but….”- stupid stuff he clearly thinks is clever.

  28. Tom63010: What you said. Huck’s a good guy, a believing and consistent Christian (as is Sarah) and did a reasonably good job as Gov. of Arkansas. He just doesn’t have the pizzazz. And I question his understanding of free markets and economics in general. But again, a fine, intelligent Christian man.

  29. Why did CPAC Vote for Huckabee?? They must be deranged. Huckabee backstabbed Hoffman. Huckabee backstabbed Romney with McCain. Huckabee is now backstabbing Palin. My gut tells me his is all about his ego. Conservatives are making a big mistake if they let Huckabee win any more polls. Get rid of this snake oil salesman. Go Palin-Romney.

  30. There is something about Huckabee, this Gomer Pyle aspect, that I would never vote for. He projects too much of a ‘golly, gee whiz’ persona. Personally I would prefer someone that will get ‘in the face’ of Obamanoids. Show them no respect because they don’t deserve any after their years of low brow and sleazy antics.

pHUCKABEE is jealous of Sarah Palin..

translation: she doesn’t even come close to

  33. It is not terribly difficult to dislike Mr. Huckabee after his worthless performance during the campaign last year. His comments about Mitt Romney’s religion were sordid and out of line.

Like Hussein, when Huckabee is on, my TV goes to another channel or off.

Huckabee seems to think that he IS the primo candidate for 2012. I cannot stand the sight of him and he makes my stomach sick. His fawning over himself and the oh so self-serving schtick is typical of two-faced Baptist ministers planet-wide who live like kings while they’re parishioners are living in near poverty.

Huckabee likens himself to a senior statesman in the Republican Party. Not in my Republican Party.

  34. It’s nice to see a blog where people think critically regarding Huckabee. Over at RedState, they think he walks on water. I had to stop going there because of the lovefest. I can’t stand the guy.

  35. Huckabee’s only function is to split the christian vote so that a RINO can win the nomination.

  36. Sarah may not be completely lacking in intellectual ability but Huckabee is a complete and utter douchebag.

If it is between him and Obama I vote libertarian or not at all.

  37. Once in a while I stumble upon his show on FOX news, but I never stay to watch too long. Now that he insulted Sarah Palin, I would watch the Maddow show before I watch Huckabee, at least Maddow doesn’t insult her fellow liberals.
Any politician that has to play the guitar to keep his audience entertained is lacking in other areas.

  38. First off – I am an avid Sarah Palin supporter. I just finished her book, and I’ve been pouring over all her interviews, etc. this last week. But, I ask you, listen again to Huck’s comment. He is clearly stating that she is NOT as many have tried to portray her – and he is correct. The media (especially “ms. perky” Couric) drove that meme. Huckabee is telling the “horse” that her mouth was WRONG. She is NOT as Couric, etc., portrayed her – as “completely stupid,” yada yada. That is how Katie-perky smeared her – and now, Sarah is showing what a bunch of fools the MSM were to try that. Be fair – his tone was not snarky. He did not take a swipe at Sarah, from what I heard.

imho he took the low road, he could have come right out & stated Palin is quite intelligent.. he was punting with the ‘i didn’t know her very well’, he went as far as he thought the anti-Palinists would let him w/o risking not being invited back.. fppt!!

  40. There has to be a good reason why Mark Levin refers to him as “Huck-a-phony”.

  41. I have many friends and relatives who like Huckabee. They are not members of the hard religious right but just feel comfortable with what they feel is a good Christian preacher. They are pretty naive in this way. I have known several preachers who were downright mean, nosy and/or sexually harassing. I tell them just because a man is a preacher does not mean he is a good man or a good Christian. Just look a the televangicals who strayed from the straight and narrow ie Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggert etc. I wish they would remember that religion should play no part in electing a president or member of congress. We do not require our president to preach a sermon but the defend this country to his utmost being.
