Explosive– Climategate Files Were Leaked to BBC But They Refused to Cover the Story

The scandal grows…
It looks like the New York Times is not the only news organization to ignore the greatest scandal in modern science.
BBC joins in to “Hide the Decline”–
The face in the video belongs to Dr. Michael Mann, the father of the bogus global warming hockey stick graph.
The BBC was sent the Climategate files a month ago but refused to cover the story.
The Daily Mail reported, via Ace:
The controversy surrounding the global warming scandal today deepened after a BBC correspondent admitted he was sent the leaked emails more than a month before they were made public.
Paul Hudson, weather presenter and climate change expert, claims the documents allegedly sent between some of the world’s leading scientists are of a direct result of an article he wrote.
In his BBC blog two days ago, Hudson said: ‘I was forwarded the chain of emails on the 12th October, which are comments from some of the world’s leading climate scientists written as a direct result of my article “Whatever Happened To Global Warming”.’
That essay, written last month, argued that for the last 11 years there had not been an increase in global temperatures.
It also presented the arguments of sceptics who believe natural cycles control temperature and the counter-arguments of those who think it’s man’s actions which are warming the planet.
The leaked files – which show 4,000 documents which have allegedly been sent by scientists over the past 13 years – were apparently taken from servers at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit, which is a world-renowned centre focused on studying climate change.

Based on estimates from Tim Patterson, the 2018 solar cycle will be extremely weak leading to noticeable cooling across the globe–the problem is how to survive until the weight of the truth completely crushes these morons.

You know that – just as sure as God made little green apples – none of this is going to stop obama’s plans to get rich from cap and trade. He is going to keep insisting that algore is right and he’s going to try to force the copenhagen treaty (or whatever they’ll call it) on us.
About the only thing that we’re going to be able to do is force our congresscritters to shoot it down in the senate. Along with crap and tax.
There is just too much money and power at stake for obama to let a little thing like the truth interfere with his plans. (I’d bet dollars to donuts that the deals are already in place that will let obama leave the white house as a billionaire – if he can deliver to his masters.)
This is going to be one long, hard fight – and we should be starting now to make our senators aware that we know about the lies and the fraud involved — and that we’re not going to stand for being taxed to death for the biggest scientific fraud of the 20th&21st centuries. (Even though they don’t vote on treaties, lobbying the representatives, too, couldn’t hurt.)
One of the things that we should do is make the senators aware that – as soon as the Conservatives take power after the 2010 midterms, we are going to call for an investigation of every senator who voted for the cap and trade and voted to ratify this treaty — with an eye toward hard jail time if any under the table deals or malfeasence is discovered. (They might not care about losing a senate seat – but none of them want to be investigated or go to prison.)

One thing I haven’t heard mentioned lately is the 800 year lag between warming and the increase of CO2. Gore addresses this in his docudrama but attributes it to increase of CO2 driving warming. However in the Great Warming Swindle it is shown he has it bassackwards. It is warming driving the increase in CO2 800 years later. And guess what happened 800 years ago in about 1200 AD…. the medieval warming period.
Once again liberals attempting to think are 180 degrees out of phase with reality.

Hudson didn’t say he was approached with the leaked emails.
He said that the emails, which were subsequently leaked, contained ones that had been sent to him.
He was just confirming their authenticity.

There were emails in the 60 MB zip file dated as recently as November 12, 2009. So something is fishy when they say they had the leaked emails one month before they went public (Nov. 19?).

From the article it isn’t clear. Hudson says he was offered the emails but didn’t say whether he was offered the entire file. My guess is that he was.
It appears that the file was assembled over a period of time, possibly to comply with an FOIA request. The intro describes the file as ‘randomly selected’, which of course it is not. But who selected it? Are there even more damning documents under wraps?
To restore confidence the Climate Research Unit and their allies have to do what they should have done all along: make all their data, calculations, and reasonings available to anyone who asks.

Among the many aspects of this major, major scandal is the besmirching of science, and the peer review process. On the latter Andrew Bolr here in Melbourne (Herald-Sun) puts it succinctly:
“peer review has become ‘mates’ review”.
In Aussie lingo a ‘mate’ is sometimes a positive term, but often (as here) a very negative one, implying collusion and sweetheart dealing by a corrupt clique.

I think you are misreading what Hudson is saying, he says:

He was forwarded one email chain, not the whole package, and he was likely forwarded the chain by one of the participants of the chain because he was the subject. And he brings that up as evidence that the emails are legitimate because the one he was forwarded matches the one in the leaked zip file.
Hudson couldn’t have been forwarded the whole package because the most recent emails in the leak are only two weeks old.

I agree with Kazinski. I think that he was shown emails written in direct response to his BBC item. THey include one from Mann, if I recall correctly, wondering what was going on at the BBC, and saying that he would get in touch with Black, the BBC primary warmist apologist. I don’t think Hudson has done anything wrong here – in fact, the opposite. He’s a good guy.

There’s another interesting aspect to this. Let’s assume that the email chain that Hudson was shown is the one concerning his “Whatever Happened To Global Warming Article”. These are the emails you can see by searching at http://www.eastangliaemails.com/search.php using the search terms hudson and bbc, and starting in mid October 2009.
The conclusion from this is that someone _inside_ either CRU or one of the other institutions whose people were privy to the emails, leaked them to Hudson.
That makes it much more likely that a whistleblower was involved in the major leak.

I’m pretty sure this is a daily mail journalist failing to read English. The way *I* read Paul Hudson’s post is that he was sent the email thread that refers to HIM only.
He could not have been sent the whole thing since some of the emails date from after his receiving the thread.

Actually, this IS Enron. They were an early proponent of “Cap and Trade (Tax)” and were hoping to clean up on:
1. Artificially driving up the cost of oil.
2. Selling nothing (carbon credits) for something ($$$)
3. Being “At the table” when new regulations are written.
This is a huge and continuing scam. Scientific fraud is simply one of the tools they use.

The connection between the corrupt and the corrupted is too strong. Fraud is often easy to spot -harder to prove. This nails them, but since inconvenient truth is always a fabrication to them, and the entire leftist world’s 30 year plan to conquer and control the entire world through the UN has just been exposed as a fraud, they’ll go through with their plans anyway.
