More Hope and Change…
The Brits aren’t happy about Barack Obama’s dithering and waffling on Afghanistan either. The British Defense Secretary even blasted Obama this week in the press:

The Brits blamed Obama for the decline in public support for the War in Afghanistan.
The Telegraph reported:

Bob Ainsworth, the defence secretary, has blamed Barack Obama and the United States for the decline in British public support for the war in Afghanistan.

Mr Ainsworth took the unprecedented step of publicly criticising the US President and his delays in sending more troops to bolster the mission against the Taliban.

A “period of hiatus” in Washington – and a lack of clear direction – had made it harder for ministers to persuade the British public to go on backing the Afghan mission in the face of a rising death toll, he said.

Senior British Government sources have become increasingly frustrated with Mr Obama’s “dithering” on Afghanistan, the Daily Telegraph disclosed earlier this month, with several former British defence chiefs echoing the concerns.

But Mr Ainsworth is the first Government minister to express in public what amounts to personal criticism of the US president’s leadership over the conflict which has so far cost 235 British lives.

    Let me be clear, my dithering is due to my disgust for the Troops. I don’t care if they are white or black, American or English they all suck.

    I am hoping that while I dither there will be more troop causalities. This will build a better case for me to surrender in Afghanistan.

    The real foreign policy appears to be: snub your friends (U.K.), do anything to win your enemy’s favor (Iran), and destabilize your dependents (Afghanistan) by a undertaking a slow charade of a decision-making process designed to placate your hard Left base.

    promise troops – stagger the deployment or have a deployment date months down the road and then have friends in the msm highlight the
    “groundswell” of citizens demanding the troops
    be brought home. he can then declare that he has heard the voters and will follow their will.
    a true war president who proved his commitment but had to answer the call of the
    people.

    President Ditherer has already dithered enough so that troops will not be in place and prepared by next spring, the beginning of the Afghan fighting season.

    Is “Finish the Job” the New “Peace With Honor”?

    Obama’s new Afghanistan strategy, to be announced formally next week, centers around the phrase “finish the job.”

    That is an interesting concept. Seems simlar to “peace with honor,” a very Nixonian phrase signaling that we will claim one thing (the dreaded “V” word) while accepting something else (the dreaded “D” word).

    BS-WE are to blame for the loss of British support? I think not-there are plenty of people in G.B. who never supported this war, no matter what the Taliban/AQ did. Sounds like CYA to me.

    Hard cheese! The Brits – along with the rest of the euroweenies – wanted this limp-wristed metrosexual to be “president” so that they could all have “renewed faith” in America (get bigger handouts?).

    Well, they got him. And they’re just going to have to enjoy him for three more years.

    I’m sorry for the loss of the Brit soldiers. They’re good men and excellent troops – but obama will just continue to waste their lives, just as he’s doing to our own troops.

    Their best bet would be to call it a day and head home.

    Since America can no longer be relied as a reliable partner in the war on terror. All these European countries need to step up to the plate and send more troops. Won’t happen the Euopeans are the “cowards” we knew they where, they prefer the Americans to do all the heavy lifting and suffer the loss of blood.
    A strong American military wasn’t such a bad thing after all.
    Hopefully the terrorists will leave us alone and concentrate on weaker countries in there neighborhood.
