Radical Leftists Shut Down Geert Wilders' Talk at Temple University (Video)

What a shock.
Radical leftists shouted down Geert Wilders at Temple University last night.
The good little indoctrinated leftists chanted, “Hey Hey, HO, HO, this racist bull—-‘s got to go.” They forced the university to shut down the event early.

The event was organized by a student group called Purpose and is being funded by the California-based David Horowitz Freedom Center, a foundation that promotes conservative scholarship.

Philly.com reported:

Amid a firestorm of contention, several hundred people heard Geert Wilders, a controversial Dutch parliamentarian, speak last night at Temple University.

During his approximately 30-minute speech, Wilders called the Quran “an evil book” and said that the United States was facing Islamization.

A question-and-answer session was cut short, and Wilders was escorted out of the lecture hall after some students began shouting insults at him.

Before the speech, held in Anderson Hall, more than 50 protesters had denounced the appearance of Wilders at the school.

Members of All Sides, an organization that seeks to promote peace between Israel and Palestinians, held pink pom-poms and shouted, “Hey Hey, HO, HO, this racist bull—-‘s got to go.”

Standing next to them with signs decrying Wilders’ views were members of the Student Senate, Democratic Socialists and the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance.

Islam Speech Controversy
Student protesters stand outside as Dutch politician Geert Wilders speaks at Temple University, Tuesday, Oct.. 20, 2009, in Philadelphia. Wilders has outraged Muslims by comparing their holy book, the Quran, to Adolf Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf’ and for his calls to end Muslim immigration to the Netherlands. (AP/H. Rumph Jr)

  • Non-government-approved opinions are “hate speech” and subject to prosecution. His opinions are proof that he is an “Enemy of the People” and cannot be tolerated. Someday, there will be places where people like him can go to be re-educated. Graduates of re-education will be presented with a beautiful brown shirt (heavy starch) as a symbol of their accomplishment. They will have won the victory over themselves.

  • PimFortuynsGhost

Ah, good dhimmis. Those “feminists” do realize that their Islamist allies want their lady bits cut to shreds and then not allowed to work outside the home or receive an education, correct?

  • PamelaofthePoconos

O’er the land of the free???????????????????

  • J

Exactly WHAT will we be allowed to hear and know and say? Just want the rules up front so we won’t offend anyone. As I see it, anything that embraces what the USA previously held dear, will not be allowed. To whom do we submit our ideas and speeches for pre-approval before we are allowed to have them or speak them? Who is on that committee and where does it meet (perhaps behind locked doors?)?

  • manateespirit

As painful and disturbing it is to listen to Wilders, I believe he is correct. It is time for Americans to open their eyes and see what has happened in Europe and is coming here. The jihadists have made their intentions crystal clear!!! Helloooo…

Why don’t these students use any common sense?

I used to belong to a social justice oriented church…I think I finally figured out the liberal mindset. It doesn’t deal in facts, it deals in what it wants to believe and the facts be damned. I also don’t believe the liberal mindset believes in evil. (Unless of course, you are a tea partier or conservative). Hhmmm…seems to me that can be costly in many aspects.

I guess I answered my own question.

  • syn

The reason why the argument that the Religious Right in America is Theocratic is completely ingenious, fabricated paranoia is because those who are Oppressed cannot be possibly be Theocratic!

So when the speech-coded hate-crime police takes on the Dali Lama, the Mosques, and the Trinity Church of Christ in Chicago then perhaps I will not look upon these Liberaltarian totalitarian freaks as the disingenuous movement they have shown themselves to be.

  • these feminists are deluded

  • Otter

Coming from Pennsylvania, I already knew Temple was a pit of hatred, bigotry and prejudice, for many, many years now.

  • Richard Aubrey

    Feminists, huh?
Too bad Theo van Gogh wasn’t available to speak.

  • syn

    “social justice oriented church”

These are actually political institutions hiding behind a facade of false faith which aborted the body of Christ, the Holy Ghost and God in order to receive government’s Social Justice Silver for Serving Poor People.

  • Trish

When our youth is this deluded, and this anti-constitution; when they are so dumbed down to believe whatever the left portrays as good and fair, are we all then doomed?

  • Ann

What is so ironic, that Mr Wilders says nothing that the Islamic community doesn’t say themselves and actually going around boasting and making videos themselves, publicly and in their Koran.

So why should they have a problem with Mr Wilders repeating what they say and do?

He has to have 24/7 bodyguards, Theo Van Gogh was stabbed to death for his video Possession, Salmon Rushdie is still in hiding for his book on the Satanic Verses in the Koran, the cartoonists of Mohammad is also 24/7 bodyguards, Rachael Ehrenfelt was taken to court in the UK and fined for her book that tied Saudi funds to 9/11 “Funding Evil”, the Saudi intimated the book publishers to take the book off the shelf and from pubic libraries.

But look at the videos they made at a Chicago conference, they attacked a Christian cameraman in Deabornistan MI (on the street, they don’t own)
They also attack residents of cities that come close to their jihad training camps in America (on the streets they don’t own), one student tries to sue the school when a pastor spoke in the name of Jesus at a commencment exercise. How long will America (under the aegis of free speech) will put up with this so-called religion of peace that only seek to overthrow America from within or otherwise their jihad and/or create dhimmis. This is un contitutional and they all should be deported before it’s too late.

During the Gaza war, they were carrying signs (in American cities); bring back the ovens, God bless Hitler, they attacked police officers on NYC and sent a few to the hospital. Yet we allow them their parades, in the hall of our government, schools and universities.

Actually I don’t think those “feminists” have ever stopped to think (there is a dearth of this among youth these days). They repeat propaganda verbatim to be “in” or “cool” and heaven forbid they should go so far as to ponder how what they are espousing will impact them and others.

Sadly true. As an alumnus (many moons ago) it was a good school. Very good education in my time, but unfortunately tolerance is not one of its fortés

  • myna

Feminists are not fighting freedom for women around the globe. Feminists are just the lapdogs of the DNC waiting for the bones to drop.

  • Redwine

Hmmmm. The pic has female students in tight jeans. In the Sudan, as well as in other Muslim countries run on Sharia law, those students would be sentenced to many lashes and jail time for wearing pants. Just ask Sudanese journalist Lubna Hussein. Hypocrisy and ignorance go hand-in-hand on the Left.

  • Mad Monica

It’s so weird. I keep forgetting that only people who think like me are racist. I thought anyone who refused to honor others rights to speak or even BE based on their skin color was racist. Silly me.

Guess I’d better go shout myself down next time I try to give someone else the right to do anything because ANYTHING I have to say MUST be racist.

Must go punish myself…. see ya…

  • Linda

There is no “social justice” at this university if a group of students are allowed to disrupt a speaker in such a fashion. Heeeeeeeyyyyy what about all that “civility” the liberals keep talking about of late? As for the feminists…. this just proves they are not really for women at all. Liberal agenda first, women be damned. The women’s movement was long ago coopted by the commie leftists just like so many movements in america have been. It is just a shame to know that those college women appear to be so ignorant.

Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance, give me a break. Where were they in NYC for the Muslim Day Parade when the woman were only allowed in the two back rows.

  • Margo

That student who stood sure is stupid.

Islam is NOT a race, it is a religion.

  • Ann

Why should these people also have a problem with the koran being compared to Mein Kemp? The secret is out that the Mufti of Jerusalem made a pact with Hitler in WWII. They trained the Nazis in systematic genocide and were responsible for killing thousands of Jews in Bosnia. Islam is just a continuation of the “Final Solution”.

  • Mike

Sadly, but not surprisingly, Temple authorities’ reaction was to end the question period, not to run the protesters out so everyone else could be heard.

  • Baxter Greene

To think that a University used to be considered a place to explore and exchange ideas.

Now they are facilities where only liberal points of views are tolerated.

By the way, those feminist are awfully loud in defense of women’s issues.
Unless it is the misogynistic hatred spewed against Sara Palin and Condi Rice or in support of the millions of women Bush freed in the War on Terror.

I am sure there next event will be a “free Polanski” march right through the middle of the University.

Typical liberal hypocrisy and hate on display and supported by our supposed facilities of “Higher learning”.

  • Baxter Greene

Where any of the superior and morally righteous students able to counter Wilder’s views with any facts.

All I heard ( which is the norm) was a lot of bombastic name calling and wildly unsubstantiated accusations.

What is ” a lot of hatred and fear against muslims” supposed to mean.
Where there any incidents of violence or hate crimes committed?
Were they directly linked to Wilder?

Instead of factual and productive debate, liberals have relegated themselves to pretty much just yelling out false accusations and bigoted comments.

    How Progressive!!!!!

  • nick

To all of you that are putting down Temple, I think you forget that it was only a year or two ago that certain universities wouldn’t even let the minuteman project founders speak. Seems to me the fact that Wilders was invited to speak at all is a step in the right direction for free speech.

  • Nixon wonders why non of these demonstrators can prove any of Wilders statements to be wrong. Answer : Wilders is correct in his statements.

  • Nobama

Do these women know muslims do clitorectomies? Wilders is telling the truth. Those dopes will find themselves missing a clit in burkas if the muslims have their way.

  • Poopsicle

Wilders, who wants to ban a whole religion and people from the Netherlands? You are seriously on his side?

Young leftists are so idealistic. But then, so were fascists.

These mindless fools think it the height of integrity to shout down someone their Stalinist professors have told them to target, but having done so, minutes later they can be defending an “approved ” victim’s civil rights across the mall – and never have the blaring hypocrisy of it become obvious to them for one single moment. It doesn’t get much dumber than that.

This is the reason social, political and islam studies should be kicked out of curriculum at universities.

No more shady crypto-islamist marxist profs to indoctrinate young people.
No pseudo science but only real science should be taught.

Wilders has to be laughing at the sad state of American education. His talk seems to have been mostly about religion and the protesters chant that it’s “racist”.

How many times have pro-zionist demonstrators or lobbyists shut down discussions on Israeli policies in Gaza and the West Bank? Why condemn these people for what others do?

  • mike191

Once upon a time ,real dialogue meant that an exchange of ideas could be spoken and listen too ,without fear .Moreover, you could accept that each side would not annihilate each other during the speeches.Temple University acted in a craven manner in closing the question period and its refusal to stop the newage luddites from destoying the art of DIALOGUE.

Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance??? WTF??? I mean, seriously, WTF???

I Googled them, and got to their website (FeministCampus.org), where they describe themselves as the “World’s Largest Pro-Choice Student Network.” How standing up for Islamists who are AGAINST choice when it comes to religion (not to mention birth control, etc.) furthers feminism is … WT Bloody F????

I can’t even wrap my brain around this.

  • Yep…more wise, learned and anything but impetuous young people for you. You know, we all ought to turn to them for leadership. We ought to listen to the children. Yeah, that’s it.

Geert Wilders speaks the truth; it is hard to argue the truth, so people just call him names.

  • Kathy from Kansas

The Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance? Thanks for nothing, gals! Thanks for standing up for my rights ( enforced rights, that is) to be shrouded in black from head to toe on 100-degree days; to have my clitoris sliced off; to share my husband with three other women; to be beaten by my husband; to be lashed nearly to the point of death if I expose my arms or ankles in public; and to be shot by firing squad in a public stadium if anyone with a grudge against me starts spreading rumors that I’m having an affair. Thanks, ladies, for standing up for my “rights” to never leave the house unless a male relative is with me; to not ever drive a car again; to not have any musical instruments or even music on a radio, to not ever hear any music again except for the bloody “muezzin” blaring from the local minaret that our wonderful president calls “the most beautiful sound on earth.”

And by the way, “feminists,” since the only things you REALLY seem to care about are abortion and gay rights—how do you think THOSE are gonna go over with your new Muslim masters?

I can’t even wrap my brain around this.

What unites them is their hatred of America. God only knows why. Women have it better in America than any place on earth, if you ask me. But for whatever reason, these idiot women hate America, and the Muslims hate America, and “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” So they think (to the degree that there’s any thinking involved). They will find out otherwise.

Notice how university authorities are so cowed that they cut the meeting short because of the protesters? What a bunch of limpdicks.

Notice also that lefties in such gatherings are way ruder and cruder than the much-maligned town hall attendees? And that leftist ‘demonstrators’ include masked ‘anarchists’ who smash store windows and beat counterdemonstrators up?

Wouldn’t it be nice if the powers-that-be oficially noticed these things? Of course, we’ll see aerodynamic pigs before that happens.

  • The idiot students in this story are the “sheep” being led to the slaughter – and they don’t even see the big picture. The left wing extremists in this country would be killed by radical Islam before Conservatives because they believe in NOTHING at all. Ironic and funny to see college students protesting “hate speech” – it would be similar to the Jews protesting the Allied Forces during WWII.
God Bless Geert and I hope he continues his truth campaign about Radical Islam…

  • Sandy

These unruly students obviously learned this disgraceful behavior from senior citizens at Town Hall meetings. So it’s not their fault. Yea that’s it!
