Happy Halloween moonbats…
Patriot Joe Lieberman will back Republicans in the 2010 midterm elections.

Independent Senator Joe Lieberman announced today that he will back some Republicans in the 2010 midterm elections.
Lieberman currently chairs the Commerce Committee under the Democratic majority.
ABC reported:
Sounding more like an independent than a Democrat, Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., tells ABC News he will campaign for some Republican candidates during the 2010 midterm elections and may not seek the Democratic Senate nomination when he runs for re-election in 2012.
“I probably will support some Republican candidates for Congress or Senate in the election in 2010. I’m going to call them as I see them,” Lieberman said in an ABC News “Subway Series” interview aboard the U.S. Capitol Subway System.
Lieberman infuriated fellow Democrats in 2008 by supporting Republican presidential nominee John McCain as well as congressional candidates Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y.
The moves nearly cost Lieberman his chairmanship of the Commerce Committee, but after promising to be a loyal Democrat he was allowed to keep his gavel.
This ought to really spice up the Halloween weekend for the nutroots.

however, Lieberman said he will strongly support Democratic incumbent Sen. Chris Dodd, who faces a tough re-election battle.
“I believe Sen. Dodd will get re elected, but it’s not going to be easy. This is going to be a tough year for incumbents,” Lieberman said. “I hope I can help him get re-elected.”
I like Joe’s support of the “R”s, but Dodd?

Corky Boyd commented:
Lieberman should’t have any warm feelings for the Democrat party. After all they ditched him after he went against the carefully crafted “Murtha Plan” to withdraw from Iraq. They ran a candidate against him in the primaries who won with overwhelming finacial support from the party. Joe won the election as an Independent with overwhelming voter support from Republicans.
He held on to his Homeland Security chairmanship by promising to caucus with Democrats. Maintaining that chairmanship was important because that is the Senate committee that would have handled an impeachment trial in the Senate had it come to that.
He has had a falling out with Reid over the public option. Joe wouldn’t be making Republican noises unless Reid has threatened his chairmanship.
I think you will see Lieberman being more open about cooperration with Republicans in the future.

That is why only fools think that the 2010 “elections” will make any difference. Obamao and the Corruptocrats have rigged the system to ensure that the 2010 “election” looks just like the ones held in Nazi Germany and Venezuela.
By the time those “elections” roll around they will have laws in place to silence and imprison any and all who dare oppose them. The item you cited is just one of many acts taken by Obamao and the Corruptocrats to accomplish that.

Joe’s comments probably means that he will be campaigning for Sen. McCain in Arizona.

Old Joe continues to amaze me. he may be the last honest man in the Senate. Since the democratic party cra**ed on him, he has been an inspiration, perhaps the last passenger pigeon flying alone away from his party.

Joe is just covering his bases. He smells an anti-incumbent wave in 2010 so he’s trying to get in line with it.
However… just in case… let’s back Dodd.
Sasja commented:
It is obvious that there are people here who can’t seem to express themselves without resorting to profanity. Seems their vocabulary is somewhat limited.
Now having said that, just look for Joe to support only the RINO’s in the GOP. Should he come out and support true conservatives, I will be happy to acknowledge I was wrong.

If the Republicans can take Congress in 2010 all this garbage can be investigated. Think Special Prosecutor and don’t give up the ship.

You guys can HAVE crazy Joe L.!! I don’t know why Obama let him hold his power when he had the chance to get rid of him in the first place. Big mistake Obama… looks like you’re going to pay for it. Next time, maybe Obama won’t be such a wuss. Hopefully, this is a lesson learned.
Sally commented:
Just hope the Republicans he supports aren’t RINO’S because it will be a waste of his time if they aren’t conservatives; especially if he backs McCain…his buddy. The American people woke up last February let’s just hope the Republican leaders have done the same.

“I don’t know why Obama let him hold his power when he had the chance to get rid of him in the first place.”
Because it wasn’t his call, numbnuts. It was your other hero leader in the Senate, Smiling Harry.
Sasja commented:
Sequoia, shouldn’t that be Republicans supporting Conservative candidates? There are liberals in the GOP, we call them RINO’s, nes pas?

I’m truly sorry if I have offended anyone. Truly. I know what it’s like to be offended by “gutter” language.
Me, personally, I’m MORE offended by gutter politics.

I will watch the harsh language going forward…

The Fairness Doctrine and Net Neurality are for trying to limit, or in a lib’s ideal world, prohibit conservative speech. I see none of that here. In fact, even leftist loons are given their right to state their opinions here, no matter how insane.

Thanks Joe, but remember, even Republicans are not all created equal. Stand on principle, not party, race, religion or other identity politics. Too much is at stake.
Sequoia commented:
Sasja,
Sorry you can’t see the word police in action. It’s odd, because you piled on with Komisar Conway above. My point about Net Neutrality et.al. was hyperbole, tinged with sarcasm. I guess you’re just being obtuse?
Really, though, this is how leftists, and closet leftists, control the debate. By being OFFENDED. Really, I’m sick of people who are offended. Offended by language, offended by humor, offended by anything that runs counter to their agenda. Because it’s a red-herring argument. NOBODY is as thinned skinned as liberals pretend to be. It’s a tactic. And it’s chicken **** .

The people who were quoting you were on your side. They ran your quote over and over to toss it in the face of the word (language) police.
At least, I did.
If that’s all someone has to worry about in the face of the evil we are confronting daily, then they’ve obviously stumbled onto the wrong forum.
Maybe they’re just used to discussing loftier matters in a more refined setting.
You be you.
