You know they are stumped for a good response when the cheap shots are flung.
Notice the smug smile. He’s from NJ. What are the chances he’ll get a pink slip come 2010?
No Man commented:
No Man will make a presentation to a NJ business group next month. A NJ congressman will be there to give us gird over our rubber chicken.
I have the agenda in my office, and can’t recall whether the congressman is this a$$hole, or not.
Jo commented:
Fox News, some talk radio and blogs/Internets against mainstream roBozobot media. Yeah, that is fair and balanced alright.
MikeGSP commented:
The important part of this clip is that Andrews maintains that the gov’t has the right to force us all to buy health insurance when it dang well does not.
It’s time to stop the liberal abuse of the general welfare, necessary and proper and commerce clauses.
NeoKong commented:
I like Greg but he got a little pissy and Andrews nailed him with that last little zinger before the segment ended.
It doesn’t matter if you’re right if a little argumentative stall tactic gets the better of you.
Andrews was being a dick for sure but Jarret should have kept his cool.
You can’t be so easy if you want to step into the political ring.
myna commented:
Wow, great. NJ is hopeless case. That state is just run by madmen, lunatic, power-hungry, ignorant and corrupt politicians.
jainphx commented:
I guess Jarret was just supposed to take it? These snide Demoncraps need to be put in their place, I’m tired of get along to go along, fight back or don’t show up.
jerryl commented:
some of the many reasons iv emoved out of NJ and that clown is wrong car ins is like the interviewer said vol. if you dont own a car you cant be made to get it like duh
hlj commented:
Way to go, Greg. Leave it to a liberal to not be able, or willing, to answer a tough question and then revert to snide comments or name calling. He sounded like a 7th grader. It’s fine then, not when you are 45. Grow up, lib. Lady from TN is class.
AzEric commented:
I usually try to post some substance…but F’ that SOB is all I have to say!
Sandy commented:
Rob Andrews is just another Dem idiot. Who voted for these clowns? Thank you Gregg Jarret for calling him out.
Jim - PRS commented:
New Jersey is thick as fleas with democrat putzes, which is why the state is in such sorry condition.
AR commented:
Democrats always bring up the requirement to buy auto insurance. The requirement is to buy liability to cover injury to another person, not coverage for your own car unless you owe money to the bank for the car. Why don’t the tv hosts reply with this point.
Sequoia commented:
AR,
Agreed, it’s a horribly weak argument. There is no analogy. The more troubling issue lies with the over-reach of the fedes. This SHOULD be couched as a states rights argument.
Woe to the first politician who utters “states rights” though.
I can hear the self satisfied, smarmy reply now: “States rights? I guess you were for slavery too?” *sniff*
I just want to know if this is already a done deal. Are these people REALLY going to get away with this? And IF this gets done, does anyone have the will to get it undone??
Richard Schellentrager commented:
Wow! I don’t get cable or satellite news. I see what I’m missing (not). Everyone sure likes to sling the ‘Fair and Balanced’ around. I figured that Fox news was using the ‘Fair and Balance’ slogan because the obvious left leaning bias of all of the major networks so that their fair and balanced was in comparison to the other networks. As for the Democratic representative in the clip, all I can say is that we sure can pick um (note the sarcasm).
drjohn commented:
I don’t believe carrying car insurance is a Federal statute.
And it sure isn’t effective, else I would not have to carry “uninsured motorist” coverage.
Matt Craven commented:
I’m really looking forward to voting for Rob Andrews’ Republican challenger next fall.
nick commented:
He clearly didn’t think his cunning plan through, but at the same time, Fox, by even bothering to respond, cheapens itself. It’s pretty obvious that Fox is just firing back to be sensational. Fox doesn’t need to defend itself against pathetic hip-shots from an otherwise unkown in politics, it has the highest ratings in the land.
AuntWie commented:
Whining crybaby bully. Typical liberal. Sissy.
WestWright commented:
The snide little NJ D-Rat Rep Rob Andrews, needs a smackdown & Marsha Blackburn is just the person to do so. Take this mandatory HC issue to the US SUPREME COURT!
