Michelle Obama made a video to push for the nationalized health care this weekend.
The First Lady made sure to focus on the horrors facing women in the United States under the present private system:

The fearmongering First Lady pulled out all the stops to push for the dem’s government controlled health care legislation:

In some states, maternity care is not covered because pregnancy can be seen as a pre-existing condition. Its even legal in some states to deny a woman coverage because shes been a victim of domestic violence. First Lady Michelle Obama looks at where health care policy and people’s lives intersect. Two-time cancer survivor Roxi Griffin and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius join her to discuss how the current system doesn’t work for women and their families and why health insurance reform is so needed.

What First Lady Michelle forgot to mention was that women with breast cancer have a 14 percent higher survival rate in the United States than in Europe. Breast cancer mortality is 52 percent higher in Germany than in the United States, and 88 percent higher in the United Kingdom. Breast cancer mortality is also 9 percent higher in Canada than in the US. Less than 25 percent of U.S. women die from breast cancer. In Britain, it’s 46 percent; France, 35 percent; Germany, 31 percent; Canada, 28 percent; Australia, 28 percent, and New Zealand, 46 percent.
For some reason she forgot to mention these facts in her video.

    It is starting folks – Obama is preparing for those right-wing extremists who are the greatest threat to the U.S.

    “The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team (BCT) has spent 35 of the last 60 months in Iraq patrolling in full battle rattle, helping restore essential services and escorting supply convoys.

    Now they’re training for the same mission — with a twist — they are now deployed right here in the good ol’ US of A.

    Beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command (NORCOM), as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.

    This new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NORCOM, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.

    After the 1st BCT finishes its dwell-time mission, expectations are that another, as yet unnamed, active-duty brigade will take over and that the mission will be a permanent one. “Right now, the response force requirement will be an enduring mission,” said Col. Louis Vogler, chief of NORCOM future operations. “Now, the plan is to assign a force every year.”

    They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control… — watch out Tea Partiers!

    The 1st BCT’s soldiers also will learn how to use “the first ever nonlethal package that the Army has fielded,” 1st BCT commander Col. Roger Cloutier said, referring to crowd and traffic control equipment and nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals without killing them.

    The package is for use only in war-zone operations, not for any domestic purpose.1

    “It’s a new modular package of nonlethal capabilities that they’re fielding. They’ve been using pieces of it in Iraq, but this is the first time that these modules were consolidated and this package fielded, and because of this mission we’re undertaking we were the first to get it.”

    The brigade will not change its name, but the force will be known for the next year as a CBRNE Consequence Management Response Force, or CCMRF (pronounced “sea-smurf”).

    What on Earth is she talking about? How is a state blocking coverage of maternity care? I think it’s her garbled way of saying some states don’t mandate new policies must provide maternity care if the woman is pregnant when she’s enrolled. Sure, don’t pay insurance premiums, then enroll once you know you’re going to rack up ten of thousands of dollars in expenses. While we’re at it let’s let people buy auto insurance after they’ve had an accident.

    Oh man….I can’t believe that she dusted off that lame ass story about her daughter having meningitis again. Her daughter did not have meningitis and the Obamas have never been without excellent health care. Maybe she could try and persuade us by telling us how she and Obama plan to enroll in the public option that she intends for us all.
    She knows that being a former first lady in the future means that she and her family will have access to the best care in the world. The average citizen will never have the quality of care that she and members of Congress will enjoy.

    My mother experienced it herself last year. Ok, it wasn’t breast cancer, but everyone who knows one or two things about medicine knows that varices in the leg can cause massive problems (up to the point where the results can be life threatening) on the long run and if left without treatment.

    My mother always had those. Always. Runs in the family. So last year she finally decided to get rid of them on her left leg.

    Our public hospitals “offered” her the following: one year waiting time.

    But since she has private insurance she went to a private hospital in Graz, where they said only one thing: when do you want to come?

    With nationalized health care she’d still be waiting for surgery.
