Too funny.
The New York Post issued a broad apology today for the Travis the Chimp cartoon that democrats insisted represented their president.
Sean Delonas used the bizarre case of the crazed flesh-eating Travis the Chimpanzee to comment harshly on the Democrats’ “stimulus” package.
This upset Al Sharpton, the NAACP, and other race baiters who said the chimp represented Dear Leader Obama.
However, oblivious to these protesters, Speaker Pelosi put together the trillion dollar stimulus bill, not Obama.
Today the NY Post apologized.
Except to Al Sharpton.
They won’t apologize to him.
WCBSTV reported:
On Thursday night the tabloid newspaper apologized “to those who were offended by the image,” in an editorial on its Web site.
The editorial also said some media and public figures who have long-standing differences with the paper saw the cartoon “as an opportunity for payback.”
The editorial called them “opportunists” and said: “To them, no apology is due.”
The drawing shows a dead chimp, with the caption reading: “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.”
The NY Post reported on Al Sharpon’s tax problems last year.
This, of course, upset Sharpton and may have been the reason he used this lame excuse to protest the newspaper.
