Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour said today that Obama’s plan to cut the deficit in half still leaves us with “the biggest deficit by far in the history of the universe.”
And, No… Barbour will not take all of the stimulus money that would cost his state more money further down the road.
Governor Barbour was on FOX News this morning with Chris Wallace:
Obama announced yesterday that he wants to cut the deficit in half in 4 years by raising taxes on businesses and the “rich.”
He announced this the same week he just passed the largest (unread) spending bill in US history.
Obama and Congressional Democrats have already succeeded in pulling off the worst January in the stock market in 113 years.
