McCain Stuns Obama– Catches Him Lying About Kissinger (Video) …Update: Kissinger Slams Obama!

**McCAIN STUNS OBAMA AT OLE MISS**

Obama was caught red-handed in a bald-faced lie about Henry Kissinger.

John McCain and Henry Kissinger have been friends for over 35 years.
From tonight’s presidential debate:

Obama: I’m glad the Senator McCain brought up the bipartisan history of us engaging in direct diplomacy. Senator McCain mentioned Henry Kissinger who is one of his advisors who along with 5 Secretaries of State just said that we should meet with Iran; Guess what? He said without preconditions. This is one of your own advisers…

McCain: Look. Dr. Kissinger did not say that he would approve a face to face meeting between the President of the United States and Ahmadinejad. he did not say that. He said there could be lower level meetings. I’ve always encouraged them. The Iranians have met with Ambassador Crocker in Baghdad. What senator Obama doesn’t understand is that without precondition you sit down with someone who has called Israel a stinking corpse and wants to destroy that country and wipe it off the map, you legitimize those comments. This is dangerous. This isn’t just naive… By the way, Dr. Kissinger who has been my friend for 35 years would be interested to hear Senator Obama’s depiction on the issue. I’ve known him for 35 years

Obama: (interrupting) Lets take a look.

McCain: And I, guarantee you that he would not say that presidential top level.

Obama: (interrupting) Nobody’s talking about that.

McCain: Of course, he’s encouraging contacts and negotiations and other things. We do that all the time. And, Senator Obama is parsing words when he says “preconditions” means “preparations.”

Woah!… That was a knockdown.
Not only did McCain correct the Chicago politician on his plans on meeting with dictators but Obama opened himself up again when he said that “nobody was talking about that.” (top level talks).
This is not true.
Obama has said he would meet with leaders of rogue regimes without preconditions several times.

John McCain catches Obama distorting the words of Henry Kissinger:

It was an awful exchange for Obama.

Obama announced at the CNN YouTube debate last year that he would be willing to meet with the world’s dictators including the Iranian regime in his first year in office.
It’s even here on Obama’s website:

From the Obama website:

Diplomacy: Obama is the only major candidate who supports tough, direct presidential diplomacy with Iran without preconditions.

There you have it.
Obama lost that round.

UPDATE: Henry Kissinger is “upset” with Obama for distorting his words!
From the Weekly Standard Blog:

Henry Kissinger believes Barack Obama misstated his views on diplomacy with US adversaries and is not happy about being mischaracterized. He says: “Senator McCain is right. I would not recommend the next President of the United States engage in talks with Iran at the Presidential level. My views on this issue are entirely compatible with the views of my friend Senator John McCain. We do not agree on everything, but we do agree that any negotiations with Iran must be geared to reality.”

Do you think any mainstream news organizations will be brave enough to carry this news?
