The bodies of 2 missing US soldiers in Iraq have been found.
Seven U.S. soldiers and an Iraqi army interpreter came under attack Saturday May 12, 2007, during a patrol in a Sunni insurgent stronghold south of Baghdad. Five were killed and three went missing.

The body of Pfc. Joseph J. Anzack Jr. was recovered in May of 2007.
Jimenez and Fouty had been missing since the attack back on May 12, 2007.

The bodies of two US soldiers missing in Iraq for more than a year have been found, their families have told the Associated Press news agency.
Spc Alex Jimenez and Pte Byron Fouty were seized in an ambush in May 2007 in an area south of Baghdad.
The body of a third soldier, Pte Joseph Anzack Jr, was found in the Euphrates river a short time after the attack.
The Islamic State of Iraq, a group that includes al-Qaeda in Iraq, had released a video saying it killed all three men.
The parent’s of Spc Jimenez, 25, of Massachusetts, and Pte Fouty, 19, of Michigan, said uniformed military officials had visited their homes to inform them of their sons’ deaths.
The Pentagon usually waits 24 hours after notifying soldiers’ next of kin before making a public announcement.
Spc Jimenez’s father, Ramon, told AP that the news had “shattered all hope” the family had to “see Alex walk home on his own”.
“Byron went to Iraq to help people who couldn’t help themselves,” said Pte Byron’s stepfather, Gordon Dibler. “I know their sacrifice was not for nothing. It was not in vain.”
The AP failed to mention that it was Al-Qaeda in Iraq that kidnapped and killed the two soldiers.
It’s a little detail.
Liberal policies delayed the investigation after the kidnapping.
After the soldiers went missing it took lawyers over 10 hours to get legal approval for wiretaps to help in the investigation.
Reuters reported:
U.S. authorities racing to find three kidnapped American soldiers in Iraq last May labored for nearly 10 hours to get legal authority for wiretaps to help in the hunt, an intelligence official told Congress on Thursday.
But, don’t expect Speaker Pelosi to hold an investigation on this.
It doesn’t involve George Bush.
