The Cedar Revolution got a new breath of life today as a million people turned out at at Martyr’s Square in Beirut for the pro-Lebanon rally. The massive protest took place in honor of assassinated leader Rafik al-Hariri.

Massive crowds turned out today in Lebanon to honor former assassinated Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri at Martyr’s Square. Former Hezbollah terrorist leader Imad Mughniyeh was also buried today across town.

Thousands of people are rallying in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, to mark three years since the assassination of former PM Rafik Hariri.
Meanwhile crowds are gathering for the funeral of Hezbollah commander Imad Mughniyeh just a few miles away.A huge security operation is under way in the city amid fears of clashes between pro- and anti-Syrian factions.
Correspondents say the events come at a potentially explosive time, with no president and no working parliament.
About 8,000 army and internal security force troops have been deployed, with the aim of keeping the two factions apart.
