BUSH, GAS & GASBAGS…
In the past year the Democratic Congress managed to see the price of crude oil double from $50 per barrel to $100 per barrel:

Certainly Democratic energy policies on drilling and exploration have only worsened this country’s dependence on foreign oil.
President George W. Bush has managed to accomplish in one week what Democrats failed to do in one year.
This week President Bush prodded the Saudis to help bring down the price of oil.
Hillary Clinton mocked the president saying:
“President Bush is over in the Gulf now begging the Saudis and others to drop the price of oil… How pathetic.”
Oil prices dropped 10% this week to 90.84 dollars per barrel after Bush called on OPEC members to hike output.
Bush did in one week what the Democratic Congress failed to do in one year.
No thanks to Hillary.
UPDATE: I agree with Fred Thompson— though, the problem is not Bush, via Instapundit.
