Ahmadinejad Announces Iran Has Started Uranium Enrichment

Another day… Another 3000 centrifuges enriching uranium in Iran…

Fars News reported today:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here Wednesday said that his country has started uranium enrichment at an industrial scale since the beginning of the current Iranian year, (started March 21).

“Industrial enrichment started at the beginning of the year when I was in Natanz and it has continued since then,” Ahmadinejad told FNA after he attended a parliament meeting to defend his nominees for the Oil and Industries ministries.

“Iran’s nuclear activities are at an industrial scale, carried out under the inspection of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA),” he added.

Earlier this month, the Iranian president announced during a visit to the northeastern province of Southern Khorassan that Iran has made 3,000 centrifuges operational.

Government spokesman Gholam Hossein Elham also said here on Tuesday that Iran is moving towards industrial enrichment.
