Iran Feels Crunch- Inflation Hits 15.4%

Bazteb News is reporting on the less than stellar economic news from inside the regime:

A report shows the annual inflation rate in Iran’s urban areas increased to 15.4 percent in the fifth month of the current Iranian year.

The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) announced in a report that the inflation rate in Mordad (July 23-August 22) rose by 0.6 percent compared to its previous month and 17.3 percent in comparison to the corresponding month last year.

According to the report, Iran’s inflation rate had increased by 15.4 percent in the 12 months before Mordad, when compared with the corresponding period in the year previous to that.

The inflation rate had been at 12.8, 13.6, 14.3 and 14.8 percent in the first four months of Iran’s current calendar year respectively.

Meanwhile… Israel just reported that it has the fastest growing economy in the developed world.
