Democratic Donor Norman Hsu will appear in court today at Mesa County Detention Facility at 1:30 PM.
The following news items were sent out this morning from the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department in Colorado where democratic mega-donor Norman Hsu is currently being held. Hsu was socked away on Wednesday night after being discharged from St. Mary’s hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.
YUNG YUEN “NORMAN” HSU BOOKED INTO MESA COUNTY JAIL

Mesa County, Colorado—Yung Yuen “Norman” Hsu was booked into the Mesa County Detention facility following his discharge from St. Mary’s hospital, in Grand Junction, Colo.
Hsu was transported by U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and Mesa County Sheriff deputies. Hsu was booked into the jail at 6:30 p.m. on an outstanding warrant charge from California as he does not have any local charges.
It is anticipated that the Federal UFAP warrant (Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution) will be dropped leaving Hsu detained on the San Mateo County, California warrant only. Extradition proceedings with San Mateo County will commence. Court appearances and inmate transfer plans are not information released by the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.
Hsu will have an advisement hearing by video from the Mesa County Detention Facility on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
The FBI released the following statement on democratic donor Hsu on Wednesday evening:
Today at around 6:30 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time, following his discharge from St. Mary’s Hospital, Norman Hsu was transferred into the custody of the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department. He will be held at the Mesa County Detention Facility while awaiting extradition to California.
Federal unlawful flight to avoid prosecution charges against Mr. Hsu are expected to be dropped tomorrow in San Francisco district court.
Suitably Flip reports that Hsu told an acquaintance that his recent troubles began when articles were planted by a politician who pledged ‘hope and change’.
