Misguided Sweatshop Workers Protest Nike To Keep Jobs

What a tragedy…
These poor souls just don’t know what’s best for them.

Don’t they know that according to Nike Campaign they “are paid wages insufficient to meet their basic needs, are not allowed to organize independent unions, and often face health and safety hazards?”
These poor misdirected people.

Outraged workers at a Nike plant in Jakarta held a protest to keep their jobs:

Workers said 14,000 jobs will be threatened if Nike reduces orders from the two producers.

Protesters wearing blue uniforms waved banners. One said “Nike Lies.”

In a statement, Nike said it is increasing manufacturing in Indonesia but was scaling back orders from the two producers because of “consistent inability to meet the company’s minimum product quality and delivery standard for two years.”

Maybe, Boycott Nike will hire them?
