Milbloggers Dominate Surge Coverage in Iraq

While the mainstream media continues its grim warnings and fatalistic reporting that has been going on since the war began, the milbloggers continue to bring responsible first hand reports from the battlefield…

Michael Yon reported on the “great battle” today- “practically no news about it is flowing home” he says, except his great reports, of course.

Bill Roggio has first hand reporting on the “Battle of Baqubah II” that is just riveting. He also corrects the New York Times while he is at it.
(We’ll see if the ‘Old Gray Lady’ posts a correction tomorrow.)

Matt Sanchez is embedded in Iraq and sheds some light on the difference between words and actions at Pajamas. Sergeant First Class Shirley Jacobs is one hero he reports on today.
