Senator John McCain blasts Majority Leader Reid saying…
“I cannot recall a national leader making such a statement while young Americans are putting their lives on the line and sacrificing as we speak.”

Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) via NewsMax:
Asked if the Nevada Democrat should resign from his leadership position because of his comments, Inhofe said: “I think it’s more serious than that. I think there should be a recall… for saying something as un-American as that.”
Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) called for Reid to resign, via The Hill:
“I think it’s highly irresponsible for the leader of the U.S. Senate to have said that and, just speaking for myself as the ranking Republican on the Armed Services Committee, I think that the leader of the Senate should step down from that position.”
