Uninspired Billy Joel Dogs the Slog at the Super Bowl

Billy Joel is not a fan of the Star Spangled Banner.

And, the lyrics are really “very difficult to understand” in this day and age.
The song is really a slog.
At least that what Joel said when asked about singing the National Anthem at the Super Game on Sunday.

It showed… His rendition totally lacked inspiration.
In one word- “Forgettable”

Allahpundit has more thoughts on tonight’s entertainment.
Prairie Pundit has a great post on the great Lovie Smith and another post on Hines Ward last year’s MVP.

But… The night belonged to the Colts, Peyton Manning and coach Tony Dungy.

Only 14 months ago Dungy heard the news that his son James had committed suicide.
Tonight he was praising God for his team’s win at the Super Bowl.
…Congratulations Coach Dungy. Well done!

Michelle Malkin notes that The New York Times suffered serious Iraq derangement syndrome sometime during the second quarter.

ESPN has a terrific Super Bowl roundup for the fanatics out there.
