“I heard from a very reliable source who saw a 25 foot deep crater under the levee breach. It may have been blown up to destroy the black part of town and keep the white part dry.”

A spokesman for Louis Farrakhan said tonight on “Hannity and Colmes” that,…

“Mayor Ray Nagin told Louis Farrakhan in Dallas earlier this month that the levee break that precipitated the flooding of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina was the result of some government conspiracy against blacks.”

Political Teen has the video clip of the bizarre exchange with Minister Nashim Nzinga on “Hannity and Colmes”.

Farrakhan then later repeated the conspiracy theory at a rally for his “Million Man Again March” in Charlotte, North Carolina:

Last week, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan sparked controversy by spreading the racist conspiracy theory about the levee break.

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan is telling his followers that the levees in New Orleans may have been deliberately “blown up” to kill the city’s black population.

The influential preacher was in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday, where he detailed his Hurricane Katrina conspiracy theory.

“I heard from a very reliable source who saw a 25 foot deep crater under the levee breach,” Farrakhan explained. “It may have been blown up to destroy the black part of town and keep the white part dry.”

Farrakhan didn’t say who he thought was behind the plot to blow up New Orleans’ levees.

Louis Farrakhan bussed hundreds of Katrina victims to the Astrodome in Houston to discuss the Katrina aftermath this weekend.

Farrakhan was joined by the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network president Ben Chavis, Jim Jones, Erykah Badu and other Black leaders at the meeting.

Farrakhan condemned George W. Bush for his slow response in the hurricane ravaged region and said that the President would pay a heavy price for his complacency in New Orleans and the destruction in Iraq and Afghanistan during the war on terror.

“I say to the President of the United States and to the members of Congress, you cannot destroy the cities and towns of other people in the Nations and not expect the laws of justice to return to you what you give. Jesus said, ‘as a man seweth, the same shall he also reap.”

Another Rovian Conspiracy has more on Mayor Ray eating crow.
