Taliban commander Mullah Dadullah recently shared with Al Jazeera television that his group has established links with jihadist fighters in Iraq. This could provide some answers to the many questions linked to the upsurge in violence that Afghanistan is now facing.
Only a few days ago, ten Afghan troops were slain by the Taliban and their corpses were beheaded. This could be the clearest indication that the Iraqi resistance is influencing the Afghan insurgency.
Such disgraceful and inhumane acts will only further isolate the Taliban and ignite anger amongst the general populace.
