International Womens Day is March 8th

Afghan Refugees Reach for Gifts

As reported at About Afghanistan:

A group of returned Afghan refugee women reach out to receive gifts distributed to them at the abandoned building in Kabul where they are living Friday March 4, 2005. In an early celebration of International Womens Day, which is March 8, the U.S. Corps of Engineers employees, along with soldiers from Combined Forces Command are distributing gifts to more than 300 Afghan refugee women. The gifts were donated by the family and friends of U.S. forces. (AP Photo/Tomas Munita)
