They Did a Good Job

Twenty-two of East St. Louis’ 58 auxiliary police officers have been let go after background checks that revealed criminal histories, says the city’s acting city manager…

…Some auxiliary officers had felony convictions and others had serious misdemeanor convictions, such as domestic battery,” said Acting City Manager Alvin Parks.

Parks said the work of many of the auxiliary officers would be missed. “Many of them did a good job.
