Well the Wahington gubernatorial race is wrapping up. Yep, the Democrats finally won one of the recounts. Now, of course, they are demanding that the Republicans throw in the towel. The democrats happenened to find the votes needed behind one of the ballot boxes in King County to clinch the victory by 130 votes. Unlike what candidate Gregoire said after the third recount with the mysterious new votes went in her favor,
“I think we have been a model to the rest of the nation and to the world at large,” she said. “This is the biggest display of democracy I have ever seen, and I am proud of it.”
I am hoping that we don’t see anything like this for a very long time! So, the Party of Boss Tweed takes another one. Hugh Hewitt says it best in his book If It’s Not Close, They Can’t Cheat
Sad, Sad indeed…
